Milton is located only 20 minutes west of Toronto at exits 312 and 320. Our many tourist attractions and activities are enough to satisfy local residents and visitors alike. While visiting our quaint town you may wish to take in the beautiful scenery of our Mill Pond or enjoy a scenic walk along the Niagara Escarpment. CHUDLEIGH'S APPLE FARM

Just 5 minutes north of Milon on Hwy 25, Chudleigh's Apple Farm is full of activities for the entire family. Every year, in late summer and fall, families come to pick their own apples, and enjoy the farm-themed entertainment area. COUNTRY HERITAGE PARK

Country Heritage Park is an interactive heritage park depicting agriculture and rural life over the last 150 years. Nestled in the shadow of the Niagara Escarpment south of Highway 401, on Tremaine Road west of Milton, Ontario, it offers educational programs for school children including elementary and high school, special events, attractions, tour group programs, day camps, historical interpretation of exhibits, an outstanding collection of antique tractors, steam engines, farm equipment and rural life artifacts.

HALTON COUNTY RADIAL RAILWAY MUSEUM

(HCRR)

Come ride the streetcars! Located at 13629 Guelph Line in Milton the Halton County Radial Railway (HCRR) is a full-size operating electric railway and museum, featuring historic electric railcars operating on two kilometers of scenic track. The HCRR is owned and operated by the Ontario Electric Railway Historical Association (OERHA), a non-profit, educational organization. The museum is proud to be Ontario's first and largest electric railway museum. The Association is made up of active members who volunteer to maintain, restore and operate the museum for its many visitors throughout the year.

HALTON REGION MUSEUM

The Halton Region Museum is located in a picturesque setting beneath the Niagara Escarpment inside Kelso Conservation Park in Milton, Ontario, Canada. The site is one of the few remaining intact farmsteads, established by the Alexander family in 1836. Today, visitors can explore indoor exhibits and outdoor trails that focus on Halton's history and the lovely natural surroundings of the Museum.

The Halton Region Museum is open year round, Monday to Friday noon to 5pm. as well as weekends from Victoria Day weekend until Thanksgiving weekend. Entry is free with admission to Kelso Conservation Area.

Visitors are welcome to tour the Alexander Barn and Visitor Centre, and the five-acre museum site to learn more about the history of Halton and the Alexander family. The grounds are a lovely setting for picnics and feature a playground, gift shop and free historical scavenger hunt for children.

The Halton Region Museum offers a magnificent year-round setting for education programs for adult and children's groups. In addition, the facility is rented year-round for meetings, dinners, weddings, corporate picnics, and other special functions.

MILTON - CANADA DAY CELEBRATIONS

Every July 1st Milton, Ontario puts on a Canada Day extravaganza at the Milton Fairgrounds. Organized by a small volunteer committee this event gets better and better each year. Conservation Halton is a community based environmental agency that protects local ecosystems in partnership with its watershed municipalities. Hilton Falls, Kelso, Crawford Lake, Rattlesnake Point and Mountsberg are all a short drive from Milton.

Mohawk Racetrack is located just outside of Milton and is only a 25 minute drive west of Toronto. Major league harness racing is scheduled five nights a week at the picturesque Campbellville oval in the Spring and Fall; Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings, with Sundays and Wednesdays dark. Post time each race night is 7:40 p.m.
