The Vault

The Vault Fine Jewellery and Repair is a full service jewellery store which was founded in 1986 as a small retail outlet selling gold chains and charms. We have been at this current location since 1992, first as ‘The Genuine Gold Connection’, then as ‘Halton Hills Fine Jewellery’.

The Genuine Gold Connection was originally located above the Credit Union on Main Street in Milton. It was owned by the Schaffer family from 1986 to 1989, where it was purchased by Anita and Max Mangotich. Anita operated the store, growing the business to offer full service jewellery repairs and service, to complement to full line of fine jewellery including 14 karat gold ear piercing, custom engagement rings, wedding bands and same day ring sizing with her son Mike, a jeweller and goldsmith. Anita decided to retire in 2014, passing the business down to her son Stephen , with Mike continuing to operate the business.

With the handing down of the business, Stephen and Mike decided to re-brand the store, and branch out into more popular brand name jewellery lines, such as ‘Alex & Ani’, ‘Thomas Sabo’, ‘DogEared’ , and ‘Baubles’ and most recently ‘Canada Mark’ Canadian Diamonds from the Canadian ‘Ekati’ Diamond mine.

With the changes and adding the new products to complement the current line of fine jewellery, Mike and Stephen are excited and committed to at least another 25 years in the heart of Milton, as did their parents 26 years ago.
